Happy New Year!

Hello everybody, I hope you had a happy holiday. My family had a lot of fun. We went on vacation and we went to a New Year's party! This year, I have decided to make one of my New Year resolutions to be collecting more trash. In honor of this resolution, I collected trash today at North Creek lake. I had a lot of fun. My dog escaped her leash for a little bit. But what made me feel bad was that in the summer (at North Creek lake), all the vegetation covers the trash. But in winter, all of the vegetation falls off and the trash is exposed! Today, my sister, dad and me made some progress but there is still a lot to go. It would be nice if more people join in and help us clean in the future. But even if you pick up the occasional piece of trash, you are making a big difference. Here is today's collection:

Christmas Trash Collection

Today my family and I went up to North Creek lake and collected trash. We always start on one side of the lake and then walk around from there but today we started on the other side and collected more trash than ever before! These are the pics we took today:

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Today my family and our dog, Becka went to the lake to pick up some trash. We noticed that the lake looked a lot cleaner than the past. We still found some trash. Here are some of the pictures we took:

As we were walking, we noticed some Canadian Geese  swimming around.

We collected this much trash during the short time we were there.

October Trash Pickup

Today my father and I woke up at 6:00am and I attended a swim meet called the October Kickoff. We finally got home at around 10:00am and we decided to visit North Creek Lake. We took our dog Becka along with us.

Sunday Trash Pickup

Today me and my family went for a short walk at North Creek lake. We are having a wonderful weekend and we decided to stop by. We had lots of fun and our dog decided to see how the water was, she jumped right in! Below are some of the trash we collected.

Fall starts here, North Creek Lake

Summer has just pasted and I am very excited for fall and school.  It has been a very busy and exciting summer. Today I visited the North Creek lake. My family and I picked up a lot of trash.

 This crane is very beautiful it is not very common, but we were very lucky to see it around this lake.

We found a suitcase floating in the lake. We were able to fish it out!
We found lots of jewelry :)

Memorial Day, 2012, North Creek Lake

We went to camping for a night in Owens Creek Campground of Catoctin Mountain Park.  It was fantastic. My family and I came back yesterday.

Today I went to North Creek Lake and picked up trash with the help of my sister and dad. Here are some pictures:

We also saw a snail.  I wonder what the name is.  I will find out some time.
