It's Summer Break!

Finally, the end of the school year has come around and that opens many new opportunities to go on nice summer walks where we can pick up trash. Recently, we went on our usual walk and as always, we spotted some trash. The load contained many cans and water bottles, as well as a few food wrappers. I hope you have a great rest of your summer break!

Night Time Walk

A few days ago our parents went on a walk along Montgomery Village and noticed there was some trash. So, they picked it up and as you can see in the picture below, there were a lot of bottles. So, remember to recycle, as it helps a lot with reusing non-renewable products, which will help the environment!

Lots of Trash in the Apple Ridge Ballfield

Last Saturday, we were walking along the ballfield near our neighborhood and noticed a lot of trash scattered along the forest next to the field. We started to pick up trash but there was so much that we couldn't get everything that were deep in the branches, but we still got a whole bag of trash. And remember, always try to pick up trash when you see it, it makes a huge difference!

Thanksgiving Walk

Happy Thanksgiving! This morning, we took a walk to North Creek lake and found about five bags of trash. I was really surprised there was so much litter because the weather has been getting cooler and most of the trash looks like it was recently discarded, but this shows that we still have a long way to go in keeping our lakes clean. Below are some pictures of the trash we collected!

Low Water Level!

We were walking around our area and we found something really interesting. As we walked around the North Creek Lake, not only did we find trash, but we found the lake with a low water level.

As you can see, the water level isn't as high as it usually is. It's very worrying, and we wonder what's causing it. I think it's because it's dry. Moving on, here are some pictures of the trash that we had found:

So that's all for today folks! See you next time!

August Evening Walks

This summer we spent alot of time swimming and found that we enjoyed biking. We also took several walks around the neighbohood and to nearby lakes. Recently, we took a walk to North Creek lake and collected lots of trash, but we also managed to see a blue heron on the side of the lake. Since many people enjoy coming to the lake to eat and walk around, there is alot of food and beverage litter on the ground and in the water which could easily be thrown away into trashcans instead. Here are some pictures of the trash we picked up and the blue heron.

Summer is Here and School is Over!

Happy Summer everyone! Again, my parents went on a walk to CVS and along their walk they stumbled upon some trash. They obviously picked up the trash. They found bags, cans. bottles, wrappers, and cups. After taking pictures of the trash they properly disposed of the trash. Like I always say, you should always properly dispose of trash because when you throw trash on the ground you're harming animals and plants. Also, you should try your best to pick up trash if you come across it. Here are the pictures:
